Chic Destination Wedding Weekend in Tuscany

Spending a wedding weekend in another location is already sublime. Spending a wedding weekend in Tuscany is a whole different ball game altogether and it’s fact that no matter what you do on the itinerary, it will definitely be a memorable weekend because hello, it’s Tuscany. Lisa Poggi captured Neda and Sajj’s beautiful wedding complete with professionals like Super Tuscan Wedding Planners and Tuscany Flowers working their own wedding magic.

From the wedding planners, Super Tuscan Wedding Planners: When we first met Neda and Sajj, a lovely couple originally from Iran but living in London, we immediately felt the sense of how wonderful their wedding would have been. The challenge they proposed was really simple but at the same time really cool: organize three days of classy, informal and memorable events in Florence, including their dream wedding in Tuscany, of course! So we first met and we all knew that we were on the same page.

We visited together their ideal wedding venue, an amazing castle, Vincigliata Castle, a few minutes from the Florence city center and we selected the best suppliers. We planned together each small detail to get the result of an amazing summer weekend of joy in Florence and to succeed in the realization of Neda and Saj’s dream: a romantic, cool, crazy, and fun wedding in Tuscany! The preparation of the bride and groom took place at Hotel Portrait. This was just the perfect background to frame every moment and let each memory stay in their minds forever. As soon as guests arrived at the Castle, they were met with the warm sound of a great string quartet. The ceremony was magic, performed in the medieval cloister in the traditional way of Persian wedding ceremonies, accompanied by a Santoor, played to recreate the right Iranian atmosphere! The cocktail hour was a really refreshing moment, right after the touching one of the ceremony!

There are things in life that you can’t know and control. Some of them are good, but when we talk of weather, nobody can predict what is going to happen. We couldn’t imagine such a storm coming! Just at the end of the aperitif, we came across the biggest pouring rain of the last few years. In an hour, the amount of rain we usually saw in Florence during two months fell from the sky. Power went out, panic spread, a tree fell on the street to reach the castle and, obviously, people freaked out a bit! It was up to us to restore order, and so we did, calming guests down and setting up the transports again, using an alternative street!

When power finally came back, everyone headed to dinner with one more exciting experience to tell. The wedding dinner was absolutely classy… just a wow factor in decoration and flower compositions, with stunning architectural lighting. The Gipsy trio playing was just ideal to warm up the atmosphere before the after-dinner! All the guests were ready to dance and have fun in the perfect frame of the castle courtyard. All is well that ends well! In spite of the adverse weather, this was a real dream wedding. Not only we accepted the challenge, but we completed our mission: guests were pleased with everything and Neda and Saj were deeply happy! And after their yes, they will live happily ever after!
