This Wedding Is Proof That Golden Hour Is The Best Time To Get Married
Lorrana + Jake met the old-fashioned way. She was the girl next door… literally! College sweethearts and forever soulmates, these California natives decided to tie the knot at Golden Hour in a historical museum along the coast. Wowing us all in an indie off-the-shoulder wedding dress, Lorrana’s stylish, yet relaxed look is a direct reflection of the wedding mood. An exuberant, intimate party that left stuffiness at the door.
Kaylee Chelsea is back again to share a gallery filled with warmth and light. And we’re all smiles for it! It’s not every day we see the groom being tossed in the air by his mates – but we wish it was.
Organic details flood the space as Effortless Events ties the wedding aesthetics together, well, effortlessly!
We’re quite hypnotized by the ceremony garlands crafted by Santa Barbara florist Alpha Floral!
From the photographer, Kaylee Chelsea Photography: Lorrana and Jake met while living next door to each other during summer school at UCSB. Jake worked at a local coffee shop with Lorrana’s friends. Later in the fall, Jake asked Lorrana on a date. He proposed on the beach at sunrise (Lorrana said she was barely awake during the 5 am car ride). They planned their entire wedding in three short months in the charming town they met and fell in love. The day a photographer would love to relive over and over again – it was a sunny day filled with pure joy and a sense of peace. Lorrana and Jake share a deep love for one another. The details were all beautiful but their excitement to be with one another was the highlight for us.
Lorrana and her bridesmaids spent their time getting ready in one of the oldest adobe rooms at the Santa Barbara Historical Museum built in 1817. The atmosphere was calm yet filled with so much excitement. The bride and groom decided to do a first look so they could spend the entire day together. The bridesmaids and groomsmen were some of the kindest most joyful people and the entire bridal party session felt spontaneous. Their main priority was to have one incredible day with their closest family and friends.
This Grace Loves Lace dress is leaving us weak at the knees. She sure loves lace, and we do too!
The ceremony was ministered by a mentor who shared stories of their beginning moments as friends. During cocktail hour Lorrana and Jake snuck away to an off property location scouted by the photographers. Filled with the prettiest sunlight overlooking the yellow hills of Santa Barbara and cliffside views. They ran around experiencing every rush that comes after getting married. The grand entrance had dancing into the courtyard filled with twinkle lights and greenery everywhere. The DJ was a close friend and kept the day feeling classic and the night mixed with oldies and Sometimes you meet two people and the way they interact is beautiful to watch. Lorrana and Jake are that couple.
Feeling eternally in love with the way Magic Hour sheds a warm haze on their pretty neutrals + lush greenery. Congrats L+J!
