Beach Wedding Editorial with Dried Florals and Papaya
Ahh few places come close to rivaling the stunning beaches of Australia. The inspiration today comes from Tweed River Ancora’s white walls, painted brick, and marble bar make it the perfect blank slate for a custom, modern affair. Natural components, such as woven basket lights, help bring the beachy breeze indoors. If contemporary and stylish beach weddings are your thing, this one is a can’t miss!
Relatively new to the wedding scene, waterfront venue, Ancora positioned right on the Tweed River, was the backdrop for a group of super talented creatives, led by Tweed Coast Weddings supplier, The Event Stylist and Co.
Figtree Wedding Photography effortlessly captures the natural beauty of harborside shoot.
Thanks to the lovely Ngaire from The Event Stylist and Co, and Estelle from The French Petal, we got the inside word on the inspiration for the shoot and some insight into this Tweed Heads venue.
Wedding Inspiration:
We asked Ngaire about the inspiration for this unique style, “we absolutely love the dried flower trend at the moment, the hues of tobacco that emerge after drying florals is incredibly beautiful and we really wanted to go with something nature inspired. The blue tones of both Ancora’s interior and the ocean lapping on their doorstep tied it all together and created the perfect marriage of where nature meets the sea.”
About the flowers:
For those considering bucking the norm and opting for dried flower styling at their own wedding, Estelle tells us the advantages, “great texture, you can find some amazing colors (using natural dye). They fill your space without the need to look after them and they are awesome for large-scale installations, no water needed and very light in weight.”
The bride looks like a Bohemian princess in her Grace Loves Lace gown, with tassels dripping from its sleeves.
About the venue:†
Some venues come with their own character, style, and theme, but what we love about Ancora is that it is a blank canvas while at the same time having built-in functionality with the bar, cake ledge and dry bars overlooking the water. Ngaire agrees, “it’s a beautiful blank canvas venue, incredibly high ceilings, clean and modern in its architecture and furniture it already has available to us. Ancora allows us to create dramatic styling with striking minimalist flair. The venue is so chic it makes styling a breeze!”
We are loving this industrial-inspired concrete cake from Rebellyous Cake Co that is certainly unique and on point with the theme of the day!
