An Upscale, Down-home Tennessee Wedding at Southall Farm & Inn

Anna Shea & Connor's Wedding Submission

Picture this: a Tennessee affair at the brand-new Southall Farm & Inn that’s as posh as a mint julep and sweet as sweet tea!

This wedding, masterfully orchestrated by the wizard of events herself, Kelsey Rae Designs , blossomed under the magical touch of Shelly Sarver Designs‘ floral artistry, all captured through the lens of Gipe Photography—because when talent teams up, even Cupid takes notes.

Let us journey through this delightful blend of high-class flair and down-home charm. It’s a tale of love, laughter, and the kind of hospitality that only the South can serve up. So grab your sweet tea and come along for a ride through the rolling hills and luxurious settings of this unforgettable celebration. This isn’t your grandma’s barn wedding—this is Southern chic at its finest, y’all.

A short story about the real wedding:

When we met the lovely Anna Shea and Connor and heard of their wedding plans, we knew we were in for an appropriately grand weekend of celebrating. They are a match made in Southern heaven, both so friendly, charming, and warm – and head over heals/boots for each other. The new and glorious Southall Farm and Inn was the perfect setting to celebrate such a couple.

Southall is over 300 gorgeous acres in Franklin, Tennessee just outside of Nashville. With rolling hills and vast lakefront farmland, it immerses visitors in the beauty that is nature and the fruit it lends. Our engagement shoot with Connor and Anna Shea was the first on the property last year, and since then we’ve been ready to return for what was sure to be an exceptional wedding.

The day arrived, and even a little rain couldn’t stop the excitement and delight all around. Anna Shea got ready (aka so gorgeous and glam) at her childhood home, and Connor spent the morning at the Harpeth Hotel, both surrounded by their closest family and friends (aka the best of hype pals). The momentum of joy carried the day moment to moment, leading (via trolley for the VIP wedding party and classic car for Anna Shea and her dad) to Southall for the main event.

The rain that happened earlier in the day made Southall’s luscious greenery all the more vibrant. Top notch planners and vendors worked hard/smart to make the highly anticipated day and dream venue come to life for the couple. The sun peeked out and shined brightly through the clouds above the water before Connor and Anna Shea said ‘I do’, a metaphor and testament that love prevails over all.

A celebration for the ages continued, with fine (farm-to-table) dining and drinks, first class music for dancing (perks of being mere miles from Nashville), all taking place at the exquisite Tennessee scene. What filled the place bursting at the seams with joy, as only it can, was the sincere love of Connor and Anna Shea among their joyful loved ones. Love is worthy of celebrating, and celebrate they did to the max with the finest Southern hospitality none will forget.
