Dumbo Loft Wedding
Today’s wedding, which was sent over to us by Khaki of Khaki Bedford Weddings, is right at the heart of New York City chic. Christina and Tim spent their big day hopping around some of New York’s most stylish locations, preparing for their wedding at the Wythe Hotel, marrying at Brooklyn Winery Atrium, and finally holding their reception at The Dumbo Loft. We love this wedding’s effortless blend of modern and vintage with a touch of cheekiness thrown in!
From the bride, Christina: The style of our wedding day was modern vintage. We wanted our day to be loving, intimate, colorful, fun, varied, elegant, vintage, playful, momentous, local, and quirky.
After the ceremony, the guests received DIY hand stamped “see you at 6” lunch bags with Whole Foods cookies and address tags for the reception location. The reception favors included a flask with one of four types of whiskey (Eagle Rare Kentucky Bourbon, Hibiki Twelve Year Blend, Templeton Rye, or St. George Californian Single Malt), and Jelly Cat Animal Tails books for the children. Reception place cards were DIY “Sit where I sit” toy animals; every guest found a little toy animal in a white carton box with their name hand-stamped on it, and everybody could find their seat by looking for that matching twin toy animal on the tables. Each table had an animal motto – Jurassic Park, farm, rainforest, Africa, North America, aquatic – so that for example the North American table included animals such as an eagle, a grey wolf, or a buffalo.
