Spanish Mission Style Wedding With Modern Abstract Decor
Todays’ Spanish Mission style wedding inspiration is coloring our hearts happy in honey, peach and smoke. With sculptural decor, modern typography and abstract confections, Lally Events is proving just how grand intimate weddings can be. Natural materials marry woven textures from the courtyard ceremony to the garden house dinner, and Hawthorn Flower Studio adorned the furnishings throughout with fresh + vibrant blooms. Carlie Statsky showcases all the creative design moments below, and we cannot wait for you to explore them with us. Just wait til you see that dress change!
From the Photographer, Carlie Statsky: The shoot was inspired by the new way we’re doing small and safe events in backyards and at private estates during this pandemic. We wanted to complement this beautiful new home that’s a modern and elegant interpretation of the Californian Spanish Colonial style, together with a unique and cheerful color palette. Lally Events did an amazing job pulling together an eclectic mix of colors, textures, specialty rentals from The Copper Rose Collection, paper and custom signage from Bourne Paper Co and tabletop rentals from Borrowed Blu that complimented each space in the home, from the intimate ceremony in the courtyard, (that featuring rounded chairs that mirrored the arches in the architecture and a freeform arch with ombre floral) to the laid-back Californian cocktail hour by the pool, to the warm and organic reception in the greenhouse. Hawthorne floral brought all of vibrant and romantic vibes with their beautiful floral design, and I loved how they wove flowers though the dining chairs for an extra pop of color in the greenhouse. Daalarna Couture provided the most stunning, ethereal gowns that matched the elegance of the home and the romance of the day. The bride wore a more conservative balloon-sleeved gown for the ceremony, and then changed into a more playful and revealing reception gown. We had so much fun adventuring all over this beautiful property and it couldn’t have been a more beautiful and inspiring day with this sweet couple.
A splendid display of a private estate wedding, don’t ya think? If you’re itching to have a wedding at home, be sure to take some cues from this “How To”!
