Italian Destination Wedding at Ancient Castle Ruins
After getting engaged in Florence, this traveling duo knew in their hearts they wanted an Italian destination wedding. With the help of Stefanie Cove & Co., the bride and groom chose to wed at an ancient castle ruin at Castiglion del Bosco with 135 of their closest friends and family in Tuscany. If you’re anything like us, you’ll catch yourself oohing and ahhing over every breathtaking photo by Stefano Santucci Studio as the elegant wedding decor brings new life to the Italian landscape.
With a blend of white peonies and olive leaves, this bridal bouquet is what our Italian wedding dreams are made of!
From the photographer, Stefano Santucci Studio: The first thing that caught our eye was the ceremony area made by Tommaso Torrini and his team from La Rosa Canina. That area, with the castle’s ruins as backdrop, was just amazing – A fairy tale setting well designed. The half arch, the passerella, the flowers chosen, were all something out-of-this-world incredible.
The bride and groom said I do under the prettiest floral structure of olive leaves (seeing a theme here?), carnations and roses in vibrant jewel tones.
Ok we are seriously crushing on this super cute olive leaf escort card display that is oh so perfect for a wedding in Tuscany.
The whole event was a joy-filled and happy day! The kindness of the families and guests, the elegance of the couple, the sophisticated reception, everything turned into a joyful memory of music and dancing. The warm sun of Tuscany accompanied us until 8:00pm when the stars shone through the clear sky. We, as a studio, feel so luck to document love and beauty like this in such a special and personal way.
We love a good theme and the olive leaf decor sprinkled throughout is utter perfection. From the trees under the tent to the olives on each table and olive leaves tucked into the floral centerpieces we love it all!
We LOVE how this gorgeous wedding completely transforms in the evening thanks to the romantic candlelight walkway to the reception. You might love this al fresco wedding in Stout’s Island if you loved this destination affair!
