A Romantic Chateau Wedding in Mauve & Cappuccino
Pinch me, because I think I’m dreaming! This gorgeous wedding in the Czech Republic is like something from a fairytale. With ultra romantic details in shades of mauve and dusty rose, Boutique Weddings planned the prettiest chateau wedding fit for a royalty. We are glued to our screens as we peruse the photos from Katka Koncal and can’t help but fall in love over all the sparkling details. From the wedding planner, Boutique Weddings: Immediately after our first meeting with Klara the assignment was clear: a romantic wedding one could only dream of. First, we started discussing the location. We chose a newly renovated renaissance castle in the end, Chateau Clara Futura, not far from Prague. When choosing this castle, a big part of the decision process involved the fact that it had a beautifully renovated chapel and the engaged couple envisioned a Catholic wedding ceremony.
First, we designed a concept with our florist. Originally the bride wanted a classic pink-golden color combination, but we ended up choosing a trendy shade of mauve, bearing in mind the color palette. We complemented it with white, dusty rose, cappuccino, and golden accessories. The decor felt romantic yet timeless and luxurious at the same time. The bouquet was adorned with a silk ribbon in a shade of mauve.
The chapel of St. Mary Magdalena, where the wedding ceremony took place, was amply decorated with excellent floral arrangements. A singer accompanied by an organ was present for the service. The ceremony was truly touching, and tears flowed. The groom had four best men, all of them had boutonnieres in their breast pockets. After the wedding ceremony, the newly-weds walked through the isle, at the end of which they freed some nuptial pigeons.
The bride wished to have the banquet in a garden. It was quite a risky decision to make because the weather can be quite unpredictable in summer. We ended up waiting for a chance summer storm to pass. The design was a combination of tall and low flower arrangements for the round tables. Louisa chairs were new for us; the wedding table was styled perfectly. White porcelain with a golden line, pink-gold underlying plates and white-gold china took it to complete perfection.
The bride chose a classic styling that fit the conservative Catholic ceremony and castle surroundings perfectly. Her hair was styled up into a bun, and she wore a beautiful lace dress with an overskirt, in a classic cut by Pronovias. A picture-perfect hairstyle was taken care of by the one and only Kamila. We couldn’t forget the Lang shoes from Jimmy Choo, of course.
The whole concept was finished up with linen serviettes in an elegant shade of mauve. The floral arrangements, complimented with small candles, were crafted in a luxurious fine art style using a colorful palette.
