Today we’re starting our 5 days of DIYs! Each day we’ll bring you a DIY project you can tackle for the holidays. Last year, we shared a constellation holiday theme, this year we’re loving rose gold and burgundy for holiday decor! First up is this floral Christmas garland that you can use for the table or fireplace mantle. We used a subtle holiday palette of muted reds, mauve, gold and blush pink with the greenery, with a mix of dried and silk florals from Afloral.

DIY Floral Christmas Garland:

The secret for whipping such a massive garland so quickly is because we started out with an 8 foot long eucalyptus garland. This served as the base for the garland, which I will show you can take it from summery fresh to woodsy winter by just adding a few flowers!
Greenery base: first you will want to create a greenery base to add different textures and depth by using different color filers. Crete small bundles of fern, ruscus, weeping willow using floral wire. You can add lunaria leaves in between the greenery bundles for a bit of shimmer.

Then to give it a holiday feel, we added pops of color with silk flowers, using the same process to attach them to the garland with floral wire.
For this Floral Christmas garland, you’ll need to create 4 small bundles of:
dried protea
blusk pink berry
dried protea leaves
And 3 small bundles of gold cabbage rose, red berry and red cosmos. Attach these bundles with floral wire, alternating your floral bundles. Add any delicated dried flowers once the garland is done.
