Romantic Pacific Northwest Wedding with Mauve and Champagne
Today’s wedding couldn’t be any prettier, with its sweet color palette of mauve and champagne with pops of navy. Jenna Bechtholt Photography and Simply by Tamara Nicole worked wonders on Brenda and Jesse’s wedding vision, implementing greenery in the most beautiful of ways and accenting it all with metallic accents. First up, let’s hear from bride Brenda about her favorite moments from the big day!
From the bride, Brenda: My top 5 favorite wedding moments, this is hard because it was an amazing day and so hard to narrow it down to five! But off the top of my head, let’s see… 1.) Getting ready with my mothers, sisters and girlfriends! Aside from sipping champagne and catching up and laughing with my dear friends, I loved seeing the excitement on everyone’s faces as I slipped into my wedding gown and celebrated the beginning of my wedding day. 2.) The moment right before walking down the aisle with my Father. I was so nervous and my Dad gave me an amazing pep talk right before. However, as soon as we walked down the aisle, he couldn’t hold back his tears and that was so touching to me.
3.) I was really anxious about standing in front of everyone during our ceremony and reciting our own vows, but the moment I stood up there and held his hands, it felt like we were the only ones in the room. It was truly emotional and exhilarating to hear each other’s vows. After the ceremony, Jesse and I had a private boat ride around Lake Washington. It was a special and private time to process the all emotions that had just occurred. It helped us momentarily reflect and stay “present” during the wedding. 4.) Changing into my traditional Vietnamese dress (ao dai). My mom decided to purchase a Vietnamese gown two weeks prior to my wedding and asked me to wear it on my wedding day. I was a little thrown off because it didn’t fit initially and I was wondering when to incorporate it into our wedding timeline. Nonetheless, it worked out and I received so many compliments with it! It was nice to dance with my father.
5.) Sparkler exit! This was so much fun. After a night of celebrating and dancing, what better way to end the night then having everyone cheering you on as you and your new husband run up and down a sparkler-lit stairwell! 6.) Had to add a 6th! Haha 🙂 Small details. I loved the small details from our wedding – from the greenery decor to the table settings, incorporating game of thrones inspired elements (wax seal, cake topper, music) and to our dentist-related decor (teeth cookies, teeth on our photobooth printout pictures).
From the wedding planner and designer, Simply by Tamara Nicole: Brenda and Jesse were such a joy to work with from the beginning! I was so excited about their mauve and champagne vision with pops of navy and metallics. We mixed the romantic, soft, garden vibe with some modern touches and was SO happy how it turned out. A few of my favorite design touches: the mauve velvet linens from BBJ Linen (that we used for flat lays), her Valentino heels!, the navy touches in calligraphy from Mint Afternoon (and the mauve!). The watercolor paint touches were so fun and modern, against the classic custom wax seal on the place settings. I hand stamped and embossed tags onto the to go boxes for desserts, with a custom stamp from Etsy! Added a little shimmer to the adorable dessert table by Sugar Pine! For softness, we tied silk ribbon onto the napkins, and tucked some greenery in each place setting. I loved how mixing the rose gold and gold accents looked with everything!
Brenda and Jesse are both dentists, so they’re all about the details and I love that! From the mismatched maids dresses, to the robes, the wedding party gifts (those groomsmen socks!), all the way to the ADORABLE teeth sugar cookies made by Sugar Pine! Also the sign that the ring bearer carried read “Uncle Jesse, it’s about to get real” SO CUTE! I love that the venue, The Woodmark, takes the couples out on their classic wooden boat right after the ceremony, to enjoy some appetizers and bubbly just the two of them! Not only are they an adorable stunning couple, but they have SO much love and respect for their family and friends. You can feel the love in the room! Can we talk about Brenda’s dresses?! Both the Pronovias from La Belle Salon Bridal, AND her traditional Vietnamese red gown were just perfect! I will never forget gathering all of the guests out on the waterfront, while Palm Visuals flew a drone to get a huge group video/photo. What a fun wedding, and Jenna Bechtholt captured it flawlessly!
