Modern Rustic Winery Wedding at Basel Cellars
We’re all smiles today, thanks to this gorgeous wedding from Alex Lasota Photography and Simplified Celebrations. Romantic floral arrangements play perfect foil to the rustic tables and ceremony structure, softening the decor into a masculine-meets-feminine tableau. Congrats to the happy couple!
From the photographer, Alex Lasota Photography: Rain pattered early that morning at Basel Cellars, but the grin on Taylor’s face could not be swayed for she was about to walk down the aisle to the love of her life, and nothing, not even a little rain, was going to alter the anticipation and excitement she had for this day. You see Taylor and Wyatt had been introduced by family — Wyatt’s sister Cheyenne — and instantly hit it off. Friends and family spoke of their instant connection, as well as the night they met, almost as if it were a scene straight out of a movie. And straight out of a movie it was. As Taylor approached Wyatt for the first time that day, you could see the nerves slowly fade away the moment they saw one another. As the read their love letters + vows to one another under the shade of a beautiful tree, hands were held, and promises were made in a setting so intimate and perfect for the two of them.
As the day rolled on and mother nature threw everyone a few curve balls, nothing could take away from the happiness these two had, for this day, and for one another. Lights were turned on, dinner was served, people were dancing, and everyone was blessed with the most gorgeous sunset one could witness. Overall it was a night to remember, a night to cherish, and a night where two people so deserving of love and one another officially became husband and wife. As a wedding photographer, what I absolutely LOVED about this wedding is how much it resembled Taylor and Wyatt. From the floral elements intermixed with antlers (as Wyatt owns his own farm), to the couples signature drinks – huckleberry lemonade for her and Pendleton Whiskey for him, to Taylor’s sparkly Ked’s for her wedding shoes, to their signature cups for their signature drinks, everything was thoroughly thought through, and was perfect for these two newlyweds. One of my personal favorite moments was when Taylor’s father, Don Odegard former NFL player for the New York Jets, had a first look with the bride. You could see the tears well up in the families eyes and it was such a moment to remember.
