Classic and Romantic Savannah Wedding
When we think of getting married in the south, we envision a beautiful affair filled with romantic tones and gorgeous design elements rolling all over the place. So when we saw Morgan and John’s nuptials took place in southern-traditional Savannah, we had to take a closer look at Izzy Hudgins‘s account of their big day and of course, we were so delighted about everything we saw. From Kiwi Fleur‘s elegant ivory and peach floral arrangements to the couple’s uniquely-designed reception venue, we’re positive you’ll fall in love with this southern affair.
From the bride, Morgan: We wanted a traditional, romantic, southern, winter wedding in the place we love the most, Savannah, Georgia. We were going for classic and romantic for the ceremony and the reception was so lively and fun. The colors were silver and gray, ivory, and peach. Simple and subtle, but everything really popped out against the different settings.
For our wedding flowers, we used patience garden roses, white lisianthus, white veronica, queen annes lace, green tricke, green berry, white freesia, vines, mixed greens, seeded eucalyptus, peach roses, white larkspur, peach stock, silver brunei pods, lambs ear.
Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? Relax and enjoy the experience. I loved every second of our engagement and the wedding planning process. I think the biggest difference between myself and my girlfriends who stressed the whole way through is that I wasn’t afraid to make/stick with a decision. You’re just going to drive yourself crazy if you keep rethinking or over thinking things.
