Chic Atlanta Wedding

I’ve got to be honest, it was nearly impossible narrowing down images for this wedding post. W&E Photographie and Amy Osaba are a deeply talented team, and Camilla and Luke’s wedding day was their time to shine. Piedmont Driving Club was a primo venue choice, and brilliantly showcased the elegant sophistication of the day.

From the bride, Camilla: Originally we wanted to have an outdoor wedding. I wanted it to feel ethereal and woodland, but once the forecast called for 95 degrees and rain, we figured it might not be so “ethereal” out there. We decided on Thursday to move it inside and I must say, it was lovely. Piedmont Driving Club and Amy Osaba worked beautifully together bringing the whole look inside. I wanted the space to be classic, full of greenery and florals, and as comfortable as possible. We tried to focus on the ceremony because we knew a party with my friends and family would be so fun no matter how much work we put into it.

It was intimate, dreamy, and FUN. I knew I wanted mostly neutrals, greenery, and light colors, but I was pretty adamant about having the dark pops of red and purple in the flowers. They ended up looking so beautiful against the navy dresses and in the setting!

Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? I was in my final year of graduate school while attempting to plan my wedding. This allowed/required me to take people up when they offered to help. When anyone offered to do something, I took them up on it. This ended up being a huge blessing and something that made our lives a lot easier! We got to plan our wedding with our moms, sisters, brothers, and friends. Basically, let people help you! It makes it oh so much more fun than to take it all on yourself and everyone can enjoy the day because they had a hand it making it come together. Word of warning to everyone else, don’t offer to help if you don’t mean it, because I will say yes.

Wedding Music:
I had a good friend of mine from high school playing for the ceremony, which was very special. My processional was “Be Thou My Vision” and let me tell you, it was a tear jerker. Just look at Luke’s face. During the ceremony we sang “Jesus, What a Savior!” This was one of my favorite parts. Luke and I faced out and sang with everyone in the room, praising Jesus! Our recessional was “This Girl” by Nickel Creek. Our first dance was to “Drive All Night” by Glen Hansard, the first song we ever danced to (and my vinyl copy got warped in this dang Atlanta heat and I’m a little distraught).
