Georgia Wedding with the Ultimate Naked Cake
You know those weddings where you can just sense that everything came together perfectly – so perfectly that the whole day seems like a dream? Well, that’s the feeling we get when we pore over this wedding from Amy Arrington (though we suspect her dreamy film images play a big part). Signature Weddings and The Perfect Poppy made Kimberly and David’s wedding a truly special one, with romantic touches and relaxed elegance for us all to admire.
From the bride, Kimberly: We wanted our wedding to be a reflection of us and a true celebration of love, family, and friends. We focused on keeping everything fun and relaxed and making sure that our guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We were inspired by our beautiful venue and the storybook feel that it had and included details that hinted at our personalities and interests. Our main goal was to create a day that was filled with love and laughter and all of our family and friends creating happy memories together.
Some words that kept coming up while planning our wedding were “fairytale adventure”. David and I met at Disney World and were long distance for almost four years, which led to many adventures. It seemed natural to theme our wedding to one of things that was involved in building our relationship. The colors we chose were pinks and greens, which are a combination of our favorite colors. We worked together on making the signs for the bar and the guestbook and favor table and on painting the gold giraffe and bear figurines. One of my favorite decorations were the little robots that we had placed on the cake & pie table. Our first date was on March 14th – aka Pi Day – so we have always had a little joke about us and pie/pi. David also loves robots (he built one in school!) so the figurines were an adorable addition to our day.
Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? Relax and have fun! David and I made sure to not take anything too seriously and to just have fun with every bit of the process. Focus on choosing vendors who you feel you can trust to execute your wedding the way you envision it and take their advice. Stay open to new ideas and different possibilities.

Wedding Music:
I loved all of the music at our wedding, but my favorite has to be our first dance song. We surprised our guests with a choreographed waltz to The Sleeping Beauty Suite and it was such a great moment to hear everyone gasp when we did our first big move! It is definitely an experience that we will never forget.
