Glittery Outer Banks Wedding
With so much oomph and pizazz, it’s too difficult to resist the allure of this North Carolina coastal wedding. Joseph of Connection Photo sent this wedding to us, and we instantaneously fell in love with the style that the bride and Heather Clark of A Premiere Event of threw together, not to mention the floral design from Renee Landry. This is one punchy wedding with a timeless romance you won’t soon forget:
From the bride, Kelley: We had an effortless time planning our wedding together. We like so many of the same styles and were looking for the same feel overall. There were a few key words that we gauged everything against in order to create what we feel, was our true dream wedding. Timeless, Romantic, Collected, Vintage. We collected almost everything from the books and glassware on the tables to the DIY hand-painted birds. If we bought items we made sure they came from an artist or small business. It was hugely important to us that if we were putting money out it was going to really impact the person or business on the other end. I had jewelry custom made for my bridesmaids, flower girls and our moms by a mother/daughter owned shop near home in Naperville, IL. After months of collaboration and allowing Nan and Brenda work their magic, I was just about as excited to give the girls their gifts as I was for our actual wedding day.
Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? Although planning a wedding includes two families and multiple people, it is about you and your significant other first and foremost. For us, we felt planning our wedding was an extremely intimate and personal experience. Everything in our wedding was something personal to either one or both of us. Respect your other half, allow their personality to come through in unique and personal touches. That is what is going to make looking back on that day priceless. As we get our video and photos back, there are so many small highlights that he and I get to share privately whether it’s about something only we knew about or remembering back on the day we ventured out somewhere or found something. We were so fortunate.
