Philadelphia Industrial Wedding
I will give you two words to preface this wedding: Urbn headquarters. Kate and Brent are both in love with Philly and chose Urban Outfitters for their reception, styled by Table Art with artful paper flower installations. The mix of industrial and bright colors gave the perfect summer look with an airy feel to it! And none other than Carina and Amanda of Love Me Do Photography were these to capture their wedding.
Kate and Brent had one of the most amazing wedding’s I’ve seen. The wedding was a perfect mix of elegance and summer romance. They were married in one of Philadelphia’s beautiful historic churches, The Church of the Holy Trinity in Rittenhouse Square. From there they took a double decker bus from the Philadelphia Big Bus Tour company, which came with it’s very own historian tour guide.
The reception took place at the Urban Outfitters Home Office building 543 in the Navy Yard and was beautifully styled by Table Art. Everything was perfect down to the tiniest detail. The table names were each different Philadelphia landmarks and locations. Many of the menu items were adapted from Kate and Brent’s favorite menu items in Philadelphia.
We met, fell in love and live together in Philadelphia so it was really important for us to keep a urban vibe to our wedding day, but we wanted to contrast that with a summery romantic feel. We were calling it Urban vintage chic. The building at Urban Outfitters is so spectacular in its own right with the industrial warehouse feel, exposed brick and beams and huge windows so we wanted to soften that a bit with beautiful florals in summery colors, wooden farmhouse tables and muted gold accents. It was the perfect balance of our vibe as a couple.
What are some adjectives that best describe the look of your wedding? Romantic, summery, vintage, elegant, sophisticated, approachable. As I mentioned before, we really wanted the city of Philadelphia to play a large part in our wedding so all of the tables were named after locations in Philly that were special to us and guests wrote us notes on vintage Philadelphia postcards. The couple also got married in Philly’s gorgeous Rittenhouse Square. The bride also did all of the cocktail hour florals herself with beautiful hydrangeas, peonies, ranunculus, lambs ear, eucalyptus and garden roses in shades of pink, peach, coral and white. The bride and groom are avid skiers so a good friend of theirs who is starting his own ski company made them custom Kate & Brent skis that guests signed. The color scheme was shades of pink, peach, coral, blush, with pops of orange and gold.
The menu was also carefully picked taking into consideration the couple’s favorite foods. The bride’s favorite food was lamb chops, which was one of the options of the family style dinner. Also, sliders of the couples favorite sandwich in Philly was served during cocktail hour.
Our first dance song was “Stand By Me” and our cake cutting song was “That’s Amore” – which is a very special song for the groom and his family’s Italian heritage. Our processional was Trumpet Voluntary and Recessional was Hornpipe Water Music. The bride and groom also love the song “You Are the Best Thing” by Ray LaMontagne so that was the first song to kick off the dancing for the evening.

Hi Jung – this is a private venue unfortunately. We were able to get married there because my husband was an URBN employee.
Absolutely stunning wedding! I love everything about it. Can you please send me the contact information for the venue? I have tried the various links but am not seeing anything. Thank you so much!
