Keira + Dan's Quirky New England Wedding II
Continuing with this sweet vintage wedding shot by Studio Nouveau with a Super 8mm video by Hello Super 8…
From Keira, the bride:
Dan is actually the crafty one in our home. He made the Save the Dates and place cards himself and also designed the images for the temporary tattoos we handed out. I love DIY, but I am hopeless with crafts. I guess I am more of a do-it-for-me person (DIFM?). We used a lot of great Etsy vendors for the bridesmaid dresses, temporary tattoos, and other decorations. Etsy is addictive and invaluable for party planning. I was lucky enough to have some amazing and talented friends offer to help–2 of them were so inspired by this that they have started their own Etsy shops! We also chose vendors that really find the art in everything they do. This meant a lot of “what do you think of this?” back and forth emails and a ton of inspiration images. It resulted in an amazing group of people who were really invested in our wedding.
Here’s the video in Super 8mm film by Megan from Hello Super 8. It will give you a more comprehensive idea of how fun this wedding was! Also, turn up the volume because “Hotel Yorba” by the White Stripes is perfect for the video.

LOVE!!!! That video made me smile the whole time. Love the style of everything….awesome find.
Love love love it! It’s adorable that she’s taller than him. AND this totally helped me figure out how to get the chuppah to stand up during my ceremony – make the wedding party hold it up!! I am definitely stealing that idea.
Congratulations, you adorable couple, you.
I want to be friends with these people! I love how colorful and fun everything was, and that the hubby is the crafty one. Awesome!
I love it. I totally adore the pink tulle on the petticoat!
So adorably quirky! I love that they made it so fun and unique to them! and i love love love that vintage floral background. what an awesome wedding!
I love the first look photo! This couple is so awesome! Love his suit with the hat and pink tie. And her shoes and dress are beautiful together!
Love the pink petticoat and so wonderful to see a bouquet devoid of roses. The soft blooms are a perfect match to the tone of the dress. I really like it!
I keep wondering when my pictures are going to show up over here though! It’s been a long time! :/
Loooove these though. Very sweet.
Wait… Is that ribbon sewed to her dress? :-O good idea!
I was wondering that same thing? Is that ribbon sewn or painted on?
Okay, where did they get that teal baroque frame?? The one that has the chalkboard in it? I REALLY want one of those frames (for cheaper, please), but don’t know where I can find one!
Marisa, the frames were purchased at Ikea. They were spray painted teal, then a board was cut, painted with chalkboard paint and affixed to the back.
