Williamsburg Brooklyn Elopement
THIS wedding, you guys. Pat Furey shot a Williamsburg, Brooklyn elopement between Karley and Mattias. Karley’s short wedding dress with sleeves is straight out of our chicest dreams, and the reception restaurant? Well, Juliette is just heavenly. This wedding is our everything.
From the bride, Karley: We eloped with just our photographer as our witness in June at NYC City Hall, and had a big dinner party for family and friends Labor Day weekend. We wanted both days to be relaxed and fun. We didn’t style a thing but ourselves – our venue had plenty of decor and we wanted it to feel like a big dinner celebration rather than a normal wedding.
Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? Do whatever makes you the happiest and most comfortable on your wedding day. We wanted our ceremony to be between us only, and celebrate with a larger group later – and we are so happy we did it that way. We had no stress the day we actually got married – which gave us time to focus on each other. During our wedding weekend we were able to focus on spending time with everyone we love the entire weekend. It was perfect and both “events” were very special to us in their own way.

thank you for the feature!
We love elopement photos! It’s such a personal way of experiencing a wedding. These are all wonderful photographs. We love that they used the photographer for the witness. Very appropriate.
