Idaho Woodsy Wedding
This Idaho wedding from Sara K Byrne Photography makes us feel a bit warm and fuzzy inside. Perhaps it’s the cozy wedding venue, the relaxed feel of the mismatched bridesmaids’ dresses, or reception perfectly tailored to suit the newlyweds. Keep an eye out for some amazing bouquets and gorgeous paper goods designed by the groom!
From the bride, Katie: Matt and I both appreciate classy, yet understated style. We love the natural beauty of the outdoors and believed there could be no better inspiration for our wedding day. With that in mind, we chose from styles that created a soft look and a welcoming environment. Vintage décor, DIY projects galore, and numerous design projects meant we had a wedding that expressed US. I would describe our wedding day as vintage, rustic, woodsy, feminine, handmade, and cozy, with a color scheme of dusty rose, blush pink, mauve, light grey, navy blue, and caramel brown.
Any advice for brides planning their weddings now? If your friends and family members offer their assistance don’t be afraid to delegate tasks. While you’ve imagined this day and all its details for a lifetime only one thing matters – You’re marrying your best friend & nothing can take away from that moment.

From the photographer, Sara: Matt and Katie came to gorgeous McCall, Idaho for their wedding day. The River Lodge at Blackhawk was their choice of venue, the unfinished interior matched their style completely! We spend the day exploring the beautiful meadows and fields near the property. Their graphic design background was seen in many details, from the itineraries to the Instagram challenge poster! We loved the wardrobe that Katie picked out for the wedding party, from the non-matching bridesmaids’ dresses to the jeans/suspenders look for the groomsmen. Matt went with J. Crew for the majority of his wardrobe. The rustic/vintage feel of this wedding perfectly fit McCall’s vibe.

Such a lovely woodsy wedding! Sara & Dylan, you two rocked this! <3
That light shade chandelier is pretty epic.
Absolutely gorgeous! Every aspect is breathtaking! LOVE IT! Anyone know where the cake stands are from? Or are they just chopped wood from a family member? I seriously LOVE them; they’d be a perfect touch to our upcoming wedding!
It’s a lot of fun to have a shabby rustic wedding, vintage, chic and relaxed. Adorable bridesmaid dress idea!
