Bohemian Barn Wedding
Packed with hanging stained glass window panes and a vintage rug backdrop, I’m head over heels for this bohemian barn wedding captured by Joyeuse Photography. Amanda and Steve envisioned a rustic and relaxed big day, and I’d say they ended up with just that. With no set color scheme and gobs of handmade elements, this celebration is definitely one for the books!
From the bride, Amanda: We wanted our wedding to be relaxed, fun and non-traditional. We wanted it to really reflect us as a couple. We decided to combine styles that we each enjoyed. Overall, we envisioned a rustic venue with a vintage feel.
We didn’t set a color scheme for our wedding. We didn’t want to be restrained to certain colors while choosing tablecloths, flowers, dresses, etc. We had many different colors and shades and it ended up really working with everything! We also did as much DIY as possible. I made our wedding invitations, centerpieces, table numbers, escort card stand, favors and other reception decor. I also collected vintage china from thrift shops for months, as well as an antique globe that we had our guests sign. My mother was kind enough to make our wedding cake and the cupcakes for the guests. Making these items ourselves really helped us make this wedding our own, and kept us under budget!
Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? Relax. As we got closer to our big day, we realized that even if we didn’t finish all of the final touches, the day was still going to be perfect. If you have a venue, food and music you are going to have the most amazing wedding. Don’t stress over a dress not matching or the font on the place cards.

What a lovely setting for a wedding! Where do couples find these places? I enjoyed watching the video montage too, it’s nice to watch rather than look at photographs.
Sometimes people find the one they were meant to cherish forever. I have found mine.
Thank you for posting this. June 8th was the best day of my life.
Loved the elegant style of decor for the wedding. The pink table drapes looks so pretty and so are the cages with flowers inside.
This decor is amazing!!!
Wow, very lovely reception. Nice setup!
