Wildflower Lodge – A Romantic Wedding Editorial in the North Georgia Mountains

Set in the heart of the North Georgia mountains, The Lodge at Old Mill offered a stunning natural canvas for this floral-filled lodge wedding editorial. The shoot brought together refined styling, lush design, and whimsical details, proving that a lodge setting can be just as elegant as it is cozy.
With wedding and floral design by Ivy Marie Weddings, live painting and paper goods by E Stokes Creations, and refined rentals and linens from The Prissy Plate Company and Nuage Designs, every detail felt intentional and inspired by the surrounding landscape.

Set in the picturesque North Georgia mountains, The Lodge at Old Mill offers a perfect blend of rustic charm and natural beauty. With its cozy lodge, two-story fireplace, and expansive covered porches, this venue provides an inviting atmosphere for couples seeking an intimate yet refined celebration.

This wedding editorial reimagines lodge-style warmth with a floral-forward, feminine aesthetic. The ethereal color palette—featuring blush pink, creamy white, golden yellow, vibrant orange, dusty lavender, and lush greenery—creates a romantic contrast against the rustic setting. An intimate circular ceremony, a grand floral installation, and whimsical design details, like a hanging cake swing and elegant tablescapes, bring this vision to life.

The floral designs by Ivy Marie Weddings were thoughtfully curated to harmonize with the venue’s natural surroundings. The reception space featured a statement floral installation over the lodge’s fireplace, blending lush greenery, ivy, and fresh blooms for an organic, asymmetrical look. Premium silk florals from September Tree Rentals were incorporated into the ceremony décor, offering an eco-conscious approach while maintaining a fresh, whimsical aesthetic.

For the tablescapes, Nüage Designs’ luxurious linens set the foundation for a refined yet organic look, enhanced by textured candles and elegant tableware rentals from The Prissy Plate Company. The combination of fresh and silk florals, layered textures, and natural elements created a seamless indoor-outdoor wedding experience.

Bridal fashion played a key role in the editorial’s romantic, floral-filled vision. The bride wore Anne Barge’s Pemberley Dress, an ethereal fil coupé gown with a draped bodice and removable sleeves, offering versatility from ceremony to reception. For the getaway, she changed into the Rosemary Gown, a playful Wildflower Jacquard midi dress with velvet ribbon straps, adding a flirty, feminine touch.

A highlight of the day was the cohesive artistry by E Stokes Creations, who designed both the custom stationery and a live painting experience during the ceremony. This artistic storytelling element added a deeply sentimental and personalized touch, capturing the day’s magic in a way that couples can cherish forever.
With its perfect balance of rustic elegance, floral romance, and artistic details, this editorial showcases how a lodge wedding can be both sophisticated and whimsical, creating an unforgettable celebration inspired by nature’s beauty.
