I’m a huge fan of Heather from One Love Photo. What’s not to love about her work? This wedding took place in Seattle, but it looks like it could have been on a tropical island, thanks to True Color Events who did a wonderful job incorporating Polynesian details.
Edited to add: Heather was super kind to contact Vennessa to find out more about her gorgeous dress and here’s the scoop:
My friend Connan Gaboriault did the dress. He actually just started his own design company and does not have a name yet, so we like to call his masterpiece “Connan by Connan.”
I did most of the design, but Connan made it come to life. It was so easy working with someone who knew the inspirations and overall look I was going for. He better–we’ve worked at Banana Republic for 5 years! 🙂
The dress was made with eyelet cotton material from a fabric store in New York. Connan’s wife Sanja travels a lot for work (Starbucks) and was there picking up various swatches for me to choose from.
Connan also took charge of the little details such as the ruffle layers in the front and on the bottom of the dress. He was also very precise about making sure the off the shoulder sleeves perfectly aligned with the ruffles in the front of the dress, just in case I opened my arms pretty wide.
The cocktail dress I wore was also eyelet and was from BCBG.
