Tropical Flower-Filled Indian Wedding in Rochester NY

Rochester Ny Indian Wedding

Painterly colors and spotted flowers lead the vibrant design parade in today’s tropical Indian wedding in Rochester inspired by the couple’s travels together. With Rochester NY floral designer and vendor guide member Stacy K Floral at the helm of all things in bloom, Kelly and Shushant’s personalized paradise was overflowing with beauty and creativity from Bella Events at every turn. We could pore over these images captured by Alexandra Elise Photography forever, but why keep all the goodness just to ourselves?! Join us in fawning over these cheery design details and darling couple portraits below.

Colorful Indian Wedding in Rochester

Ready for some color?!  Kelly & Sushant came to Stacy K Floral looking for a truly unique Indian wedding.  Together, they coined it as “Boho Indian,” the colors inspired by beautiful imagery from vacations Kelly & Sushant took together, as well as a love for blood oranges and their vibrant colors.   The reception venue, The Quality Inn in Batavia, NY, was a completely blank slate that gave Stacy K, Bella & Co., McCarthy Tents and Events, and the rest of the vendors an opportunity to really build and create from the bottom up.  With floral being the most important detail, together they built the design with floral playing an intricate role in how everything came together. Vibrant colors and an array of floral, rentals, and other décor completely transformed this venue for Kelly & Sushant’s special day.

When Stacy K Floral and Bella Events Group shared their vision for Kelly & Sushant’s summery, bright, flower-filled wedding weekend, Maureen from Stone Fruit Studio knew she wanted to dive into the details and set the tone with some fun invitations. Stacy’s mood board was filled with lush greenery, tropical flowers, golden tones, splashy turquoise, boho touches, and the bride’s major request: blood oranges.

A beautiful set of paper goods and clear communication with guests are both important goals of an invitation design, and for Kelly and Sushant’s multi-day affair, there were lots of details to share. Separate pre-wedding ceremonies for the bride and groom each had their own card, different guest lists to keep track of for each event required multiple versions of the RSVP card, and even the return address on the envelope was chosen depending on the recipient. We paired careful wording and traditional symbolism with modern, playful watercolors, gold foil, and casual typography to prepare guests for a fun, fresh wedding steeped in family tradition.

The events team transformed the venue into a tropical, boho paradise and we wanted to surprise guests with every little thoughtful detail. For overnight guests, Stone Fruit Studio created a welcome box filled with goodies chosen in the color palette of the wedding (a blood orange, orange chocolate, mini champagne with custom labels…) wrapped up in a favorite detail- a custom-printed tissue paper featuring watercolor designs from the invitation.

It was such a dream to see the wedding come to life in Alexandra Elise’s photos. The medium format film she photographed, beautifully captured all of the colors in their true state, also adding a softness to the very vibrant day.

Multiple transformations took place to transform this Indian Wedding in Rochester NY into a colorful wonderland.  The initial transformation of the space, events the days prior to the main wedding celebration, the ceremony set up with vintage chairs and loveseats and an intricate and exquisite alter.  And then finally, the transformation from the ceremony space to the reception space in only a matter of a couple hours was a true labor of love.  The whole team really had to pull together for this one and they executed it flawlessly. – Stacy K Floral
