What a selection of gorgeous vintage brides we are having this week! Shot by the talented duo Cathy and David, this bride is all about vintage glam – where was she when I was planning my own wedding? Her hairdo is unbelievable. This bride’s look might be your newest inspiration for a 30s/40s look. I love the makeup as well, it’s so natural and vintagey. Oh yeah, and her earrings seem to be rhinestone baguettes, which were very popular in the 1940s.

I saved the best for last. The composition of this photo is beyond amazing! Her updo, paired with her vintage inspired wedding dress reminds of the gorgeous, timeless 1950’s ball gowns

Thank you so much for featuring my vintage wedding updo! Antje did an amazing job and I’ll forever be looking for excuses to fly back to Chicago and have her style me again! She took a simple request and turned it into a work of art using the inspiration of my dress and wedding style! My husband said he wishes I could wear it that way every day! And my bridesmaids looked STUNNING! They all LOVED their hair and many of them said they can’t wait to hire Tigerlilie (www.tigerlilie.com) for their weddings! We also have to give a shout out to our fabulous photographers Cathy & David from Cathy & David Photography! (cathydavidphoto.com) They caught every moment beautifully and everyone keeps saying how my wedding pics look like a magazine editorial!! Fabulous! Thank you for sharing our joy with your readers … we hope to have helped someone make their dream wedding come true! We love Ruffled!

How long is her hair? I want to do something similar for a military ball and I’m worried about if I have enough hair for it.

  • Hi Annie,
It was such a pleasure doing your hair, even though it is been a long time ago. The pictures are amazing. Just wanted to say I branched out on my complete own and can be found in Ravenswood at Antje Kastner’s Studio. (www.antjekastner.com).
Would be nice to see you again someday!
