Texas Garden Wedding at Dallas Arboretum
nbarrett photography never disappoints, and this garden wedding at Dallas Arboretum just proves our point. Bride Elizabeth stuns in her Vera Wang wedding gown and veil, and her bouquet arranged by Bows and Arrows? Out of this universe. Throw in some centerpieces with a bit of cactus and you’ve got a seriously stylish garden affair with a bit of Mexican resort influence that we just can’t stop loving.
From the bride, Elizabeth: The venue set the tone for our outdoor Spring wedding. The DeGolyer Estate at the Dallas Arboretum is a Spanish Colonial-style home in the middle of lush, beautiful gardens overlooking White Rock Lake. We wanted our guests to feel like they were at a resort in Mexico. I chose nude-blush table linens and white napkins to be a neutral base for all of my floral arrangements that were a wild mix of vibrant reds, pinks, and oranges.
Flower recipe: Bougainvillea, peonies, poppies, ranunculus, garden roses, flat cactus.
Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? Think about your guests and do something that sets your wedding apart from others – we passed tequila shots in vintage shot glasses to start the night off. More than anything, we wanted our guests to have the best time.
Everything about this wedding is gorgeous! The florists’ use of bougainvillea and flat cactus… brilliant!
Those bridesmaids dresses are killer. Where are they from?
