Robyn and Whitney’s wedding was true modern romance, photographed here by Bonnie Jenkins. They exchanged vows beneath a towering fig tree, enhanced by a color palette ranging from blue-gray to periwinkle to violet. Ginger Lily and Rose worked some serious flower magic for these protea bouquets, and it’s no surprise that their twinkle light reception with Parisian bistro chairs was equally as magical!

Two striking brides, a reception in a botanical garden, storybook-perfect images from AGAiMAGES: all of these make this Brooklyn wedding one of our all-time faves! Anja and Kellye’s wedding day was full of lush red flowers from Peartree Flowers, impeccable style, and last-minute lucky weather. Let’s hear it for the newlyweds!
From the photographer, AGAiMAGES: Anja and Kellye really wanted their ceremony to be outside, but because the North East is pretty unpredictable in the fall, it was all up in the air. However, on their wedding day, beautiful soft clouds gave the best possible light and they could have their dream ceremony outside in the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. The emotional and beautiful ceremony that made most if not all guests’ eyes tear up followed by afternoon reception in the Palm house.
From the bride Kellye: Brooklyn, New York is our city of love. We had our first dates in Park Slope and Coney Island. We spent weekends flopped on blankets in Prospect Park and bar-hopping in Williamsburg. We moved in together in Prospect Heights and built our life. We wanted our wedding to pull from that sense of place. The natural beauty of Brooklyn’s parks, the comfort of its classic Brownstone-lined streets, the hip edginess of its diverse thoughts, creativity and people.
We wanted to bring all the beauty of Brooklyn and autumn to our guests. So we looked for inspiration regarding colors in the fall foliage. For flowers we drew on the natural setting of the park with arrangements that were luscious and dramatic, but not too ornate or manicured. Food consisted of delicious favorites using local ingredients. We wanted the photography to be candid and capture the natural surroundings and raw emotions of the day, which it did perfectly!
We wanted everyone enjoy some elegance and celebrate, but also keep things simple enough that all was pleasurable and at ease. For us, it was a perfect day.

Ever since I was in grade school, I was obsessed with my penmanship. I would not turn in my homework until it was perfect; it drove my mom crazy! I practiced writing every chance I had and eventually fell in love with this art form. Little did I know, it would be the reason I would fall in love with the wedding industry.
Plan My Wedding Please exists to make every wedding and event magical. My role as wedding planner and calligraphy artist, as cliche as it sounds, is to make your wildest dreams come true. This Boston wedding shot by Rebecca Hansen Weddings is the perfect expression of intimate uptown chic. Shell and Ashley married with only their closest friends and family nearby in the hotel suite, then traveled downstairs for a gourmet wedding reception catered by Woodward at Ames Hotel. We love that they combined their last names into a new one for both. Also…we may or may not still be swooning over Shell’s vintage-inspired Vera Wang gown!
From the photographer, Rebecca: Ashley and Shell are two of the happiest people I’ve ever seen get married. Ever. It was amazing to be part of their wedding day. They were married in a very intimate ceremony at the Ames Hotel in Boston. The ceremony was held in the apartment suite of the hotel where they were (literally) surrounded by their friends and family. The room had these huge windows that overlooked the city, it was a beautiful backdrop to the ceremony. Cocktail hour and dinner were held in the Ames’ restaurant the Woodward. Guests were served family style. The day overall had a very relaxed, intimate feeling. The walls of the restaurant are so neat because they’re filled with tons of oddities and interesting trinkets the hotel has collected, like a JFK bust. One thing that Ashley and Shell did that I thought was SO cool, is that they both changed their last name, and morphed both of their old last names into one new one.

DJs • Bands • Party Down
Started as a California-based DJ collective in 2013, Dart has now grown to include numerous live musicians and performers, all with the same simple goal of offering a more customized and personal approach to music curation at weddings and special events.
At Dart, we are all working DJs and musicians. Music is our passion and we want to share it with you and your guests—whether that means digging through vinyl crates for that one song you have to have, or customizing a repertoire list for one of our bands to flawlessly execute, our main goal here is to elevate and personalize your event so that it uniquely represents you.
Despite our attention to detail, we are not elitists and we do not take ourselves too seriously. These events are supposed to be fun, inclusive experiences and we want to only enhance that feeling by playing the best music we can. Whether it’s getting down to LCD Soundsystem or setting the mood with Paul Simon, we want to offer something a little different that will still connect with you and your guests.
This wedding designed by Tabitha of Glitter & Ganache and captured by Next Exit Photography is the ultimate in feminine chic — fluffy pink flowers, vintage bottles and books, and silver trays galore. You can never go wrong with romantic touches sprinkled throughout mixed an authentic California vibe.
From the brides, Hayley and Johanny: We wanted a wedding that had a very romantic and vintage feel. As women, we felt a lot of freedom to choose shades of pink for our colors, and include lots of feminine, girly decor items. We both love Anthropologie and would regularly browse the store/website for pieces that reflected the vibe we were going for. We had planned to do the event design/styling ourselves, but we happened upon a wonderful wedding stylist. She integrated the pieces we’d picked up during our numerous Anthropologie runs with wonderful vintage pieces that she found for really reasonable prices. She also created original crafts for us, like streamer wands that our guests (especially the kids) loved waving when we walked by.
Hiring a stylist and day-of coordinator was the best decision we made; it allowed us to enjoy our day without worrying about how everything would look or stressing about things running smoothly. We wrote our own vows and had our good friend (and acupuncturist!) officiate our ceremony. In a nod to our ancestors, we also jumped the broom, which was how slaves “married” when they didn’t have the legal right to do so. We thought that this tradition was fitting because we too weren’t allowed to legally marry in our home state of California at the time of our wedding. (Although we since got legally married in New York!)
For our reception, it was critical that we had great music and excessive amounts of sweets. We had wedding cake, 12 dozen cupcakes and delicious macarons for our guests to feast on! Our DJ was fantastic and made sure that everyone was having a great time. Our advice to other brides would be to get help from people you trust. Even if you think you can do it on your own, it can really become overwhelming at a time when you’d much rather be focused on your spouse-to-be and all the friends and family who have come in to attend your wedding. You’ll enjoy the whole experience so much more if you don’t have to worry about all the little details and just enjoy the day!

Yep, this wedding is as close to perfect as it gets. A rustic barn ceremony meets a swinging 1920s reception complete with a band outfitted in Prohibition-era garb is enough to make me spend the day swooning over these photos sent by Dennis of Binaryflips Photography! Get ready to fall in love with Rick and Darren:
From the photographer, Denis: We can’t express how much we love this wedding. Old farm house location, dash of vintage theme and details, and a band that perfectly fits the ambiance complete their story. Rick and Darren had waited forever for this day to come and it was our pleasure to be part of it.
