Summer camp is two words that sum up the sweetest summer vibes, don’t they? That’s just one of the reasons why we love the idea of a summer camp wedding, that can be made into a whole weekend of celebration with friends and family. The best part is that you can also sneak in glamping with the festivities!
From Ashley of White Woodland: This styled shoot is all about a relaxed, non-traditional wedding at an abandoned summer camp with a boho twist. Have you ever wondered what happens to the nostalgic summer camps when school is back in session? Well, we’re hoping this styled shoot inspires brides to keep their weddings outside at camp in the fall and spring months. The council ring where camp songs are sung turns into the ceremony site. The shallow beach where children play Marco Polo turns into the reception venue for guests to roll up their pants and relax in the water still warm from the summer sun. The teepee-inspired village is transformed to a sunset getaway for the bride and groom. A tandem bicycle brings everyone back to their childhood memories with a boho, floral twist on the handlebars. And, the grand finale (getaway car) is a 1960’s green VW van with the amenities of a honeymoon suite for any adventurous couple.
