Stylish Ranch Wedding
There is so much to love about Thanisha and Ian’s California coast wedding! The unique weathered wood ceremony arch draped with beads, the adorable plush robot cake toppers that match Thanisha’s tattoo and the lush local wildflowers just to name a few. All these details and more were captured by Jen Rodriguez.
From the bride, Thanisha:
It was important to me to have unique elements in our wedding that our guests would not see at other weddings. Instead of having my brother on the grooms side I had him on my side as my “Dude of Honor”. My husbands sister was a groomsgirl. Everything I had hoped, wished, and planned for was achieved. All without any bridezilla moments.
When I was planning the wedding, because lets be honest most of the future grooms are not really into the planning of the wedding,I knew I did not want to have it in a boring location. Living on the Central Coast of California there is a plethora of gorgeous locations. When we were scouting various places I came across the family owned Holland Ranch and it was love at first sight.
Holland Ranch has the option to have the ceremony and reception there making it super convenient. The wedding site is on the grass and has the most amazing backdrop.
When it came to the flowers it was important to me to have in season local wildflowers.
I wanted the wedding to convey a soft, vintage, and romantic feel. I knew that i wanted my centerpieces to represent this and I didn’t want it to formal or fussy. I wanted the centerpieces to have a very natural and organic feel.
Instead of traditional cake toppers I found little wedding robots that were similar to the tattoo on my back.
The barn makes for a great place for the reception. We opted to have everyone sit outside under a canopy of strung lights with the amazing mountain to look out. The barn we used for the bar, food buffet, and the place to shake your booty.
