Carie and Taylor’s wedding was a love letter to the city where their story first began—Austin, Texas. After meeting on Hinge, it felt only natural to say “I do” at the iconic South Congress Hotel, a venue known for its moody modern aesthetic and vibrant energy. With planning and design by Middleton Events Co. and photography by Kelly O’Connor Photography, the day unfolded as an intentional, soulful celebration that blended personal touches, meaningful moments, and stylish Austin flair. From their beloved pup Roo making a star appearance to the martinis flowing in honor of their signature drink, this wedding was a beautiful reflection of who they are as a couple.

The day began with a tear-filled first look that set the tone for the emotional and heartfelt moments to come. Carie looked stunning in a gown from Jenny Yoo via Unbridaled, with an ethereal reception change into Nadine Merabi. Her beauty look was brought to life by Mindy Orsak, striking the perfect balance of soft glam and modern elegance. Taylor looked effortlessly sharp in attire from Soto & Co..

As guests gathered at South Congress Hotel, they were welcomed into a space transformed with artful, atmospheric florals by Mountain Laurel Floral. A custom signage suite by Design to Flourish tied the visual story together, adding modern, minimalist touches throughout.

The reception was everything they hoped for—warm, energetic, and full of heart. The Bird & The Bear captured every moment on film, while DJ Cassandra kept the dance floor packed, mixing everything from nostalgic favorites to the electric beats of Chappell Roan. Guests sipped martinis (their signature drink), indulged in a beautiful cake by the hotel’s pastry team, and celebrated under candlelight and thoughtful styling touches.

The night ended with playful elevator snapshots, a sparkling send-off, and a feeling that everyone had witnessed something truly special—a celebration overflowing with love, laughter, and soul, brought to life by an incredible creative team including WHIM Hospitality and Table Manners TX.
