Second Anniversary with Cotton

The second we saw this shoot from Jesus Caballero and Como Branco Wedding Concept, it was love at first sight. Carina and Joao are a real-life married couple celebrating their two-year anniversary, which has a traditional gift of cotton — so the event designers dreamed up a styled shoot focusing around the fluffy stuff with an elegant-meets-rebellious bent.

From the event designers, Como Branco Wedding Concept: A journey between real and ethereal was what we wanted to represent with this style shoot. We followed the couple as they get prepared for their wedding anniversary and all of a sudden, the two of them emerge in a wold covered by cotton, colour and magic.

We have two very distinct moments in this style shoot: 1. First we see the couple getting ready for them to celebrate that special moment and how the first moments together are spent; 2. a representation of the ethereal in a world of cotton. Everything was thought out to the last detail: the stationery that invites us to the celebration, the amazing cake that reigns on the table, the change from the purple hairdo to the rebel pink one. The dress that fuses together with the cotton. Not forgetting the magical venue that seems out of a fairy tale bathed by the sea. The number 2 is present here and there across the shoot.
