Not only is Cayla and Brandon’s wedding filled with truly rustic chic details and installations, but the couple also used Cayla’s grandparents’ wedding cake topper from 57 years ago! J Anne Photography, I Do Details, Flora Couture worked together on this lovely rustic chic Las Vegas garden wedding, with a classic color palette and lots of heartfelt details.
From the event designer, I Do Details: The bride’s family was heavily involved in the set-up of the big day. Cayla’s (the bride) aunt and uncle cut down trees in Utah and built her floral archway for the ceremony, they built the s’mores bar for a dessert piece, they even built wooden fire pits to roast the marshmallows on, and they built the cake table! My favorite detail from their wedding day is that they used the same cake topper that Cayla’s grandparents used on their wedding day. Her grandparents have been married for 57 years now! Cayla and Brandon made their own wedding favors for their guests. They put together mini succulents with “let love grow” signs in each! They were ADORABLE! Their wedding colors were blush, ivory, and gold. Their reception space was a mix of farm style tables and round tables. The farm tables and beautiful lush garland with floral draping down the middle and down the sides. Cayla and Brandon both love country music and all of their reception dances and music was country based. It went perfect with their wedding venue.
How They Met: Cayla & Brandon met in college at UNLV. Brandon is from South Dakota but had a full ride scholarship for baseball at UNLV! Brandon was the teachers pet and Cayla kept quite and sat in the back. They were both dating other people at the time but kept in touch with a mutual friend and when Brandon and his girlfriend broke up, he reached out to Cayla’s friend asking about her. He finally got the courage to ask her out on a date and the rest is history. They dated for almost two years before he proposed. Brandon took Cayla to Mt. Charleston (a quaint little town outside of Las Vegas) where they hiked to the top of the mountain and Brandon got down on one knee and proposed. They were engaged for a year and married on April 22, 2017 at Legend’s Ranch! Legend’s Ranch is truly a hidden gem in Las Vegas. When you are at this venue, you cannot believe you are even in Las Vegas. They have a lush green area where you can have your ceremony or even your reception. Cayla and Brandon chose Legends Ranch because they didn’t want to do a typical golf course or hotel venue.
