Romantic Brooklyn Winery Wedding
I make little secret of my love for Brooklyn Winery, but after viewing these images from Clean Plate Pictures, can you really blame me? Not only does this romantic wedding have some stunning floral design and handmade escort cards, but it also boasts an anniversary cake for the bride’s parents!
From the bride, Laura: We wanted our day to be very true to “us” — authentic to our everyday tastes. That meant keeping the overall vibe homey and comfortable, and the aesthetic an eclectic mix of vintage and modern touches. We wanted the interior to be warm and inviting with just an extra bit of sophistication for the big day. It also meant putting a huge emphasis on fun old-school music, amazing food, and plenty of wine!
“Vintagey modern” and “sophisticated rustic” were terms we threw around and googled a lot. 🙂 I didn’t want a set color scheme, but we stayed within the earthy tones inherent to the venue [lots of wood and greenery] with decor in a spectrum of pinks [light pink to hot pink to wine], plus gold and silver accents. The venue came with all vintage tableware that I loved, and I DIY’d all the place settings with vintage gold frames and silver trays unearthed in secondhand shops where my parents live in Florida. I also painted our escort cards with pink and purple water colors (thanks, Pinterest) and hand stamped our Save the Dates.
Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? Set expectations up front! Make it clear who is responsible for doing what, and what you want help/input with. Also… be careful about asking for advice and opinions unless you really want them. People are happy to share, but you may find it is more stressful to open that door than just go with what feels right! Also, towards the end, take your families help and offload whatever you can — you’ll be glad you did.

Such a pretty wedding. The bride’s dress is gorgeous and the handkerchief around her bouquet is darling!
such a great wedding video!
Absolutely gorgeous. Love the bride’s hair accessory. Mind sharing where I may find one myself?
Hi, and thank you! I was lucky enough to have an awesome, talented friend who made it for me. But I scoped out tons by twigs and honey and on etsy!
Love the bouquet and both the cakes! Congratulations!
Beautiful!! Very much a lot of the same look we’re going for! I’m using terms like “elegant rustic” or “romantic vintage,” lol. Congrats!
I like your shoes! Congratulations to the couple! 🙂
