River Bend Colorado Wedding
Truth be told, I can’t even begin to count all the ways I love this wedding captured by Our Love is Loud with team Organically You Events and Bella Lu Floral. Paige and Dillon’s wedding took place under the Colorado trees at River Bend in front of an aisle lined with antique rugs and enough twinkle lights to make your heart start swooning. Prepare to fall hard for this one, folks!
From the bride, Paige: My wedding was not something I ever thought about until I got engaged. The only thing I knew for sure was that I wanted it outside… the whole thing! I love the free spirited, bohemian look and tried to step outside of the box. I didn’t want anything to be overly “typical”.
Flower Recipe: Oh man.. Flowers were the biggest part of my wedding! My bouquet was made of willow eucalyptus, pieris, burgundy ranuculus, bright pink spray roses, sword fern, blackberry twig, Queen Anne’s lace, purple kale, bay leaves and some pheasant feathers! My girls wore arm bands and they were all different. My flower crown and bouquet were absolutely amazing!
Boho, whimsical, and earthy or flower child-y (not even a word!) are probably the best ways to describe the look of my wedding. We did not have a color scheme. My bridesmaids’ dresses were a sage and my maid of honor wore a dark purple dress with a flower pattern! My mom created the sign directed people to their seats and also gathered a birds nest for the ring bearer. Other than that, we used a lot of etsy!
Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? Try your very best to have fun and soak up every second of your engagement! It is a once in a lifetime experience and it shouldn’t be wasted stressing about the wedding! Also, do what you want to do and take everyone’s opinions with a grain of salt. I had to fight a few battles to get exactly what I wanted, but so happy I did!! Everything will fall into place.

Last fall a flood swept through Lyons, Colorado causing all kinds of damage to the land and community. River Bend was a venue by the river built during the restoration of the town. We think its one of the most beautiful venues in Colorado. Not only did this couple bring it with some killer style wardrobe wise, the details of both the ceremony and reception put on by Bella Lu Floral and others are incredible.

Lovely evocative wedding shoot especially the shots of the bride and bridesmaids…and the colours and the textures of the bride’s bouquet and garland flowers are very nice indeed.
For me the full shot of the usher holding up the umbrella during the service with the bride and groom laughing is perfect in its composition and I also admire the behind shot of the couple kissing at the table.
