Well we’re feeling pretty breathless after our lengthy analysis of this pebbled coast wedding inspiration in (would-you-believe-it?) Cyprus! The goal was to break the paradigm of typical oceanside wedding concepts, and we’d say this Mediterranean dream team of vendors did the trick!

Splendid Events is blowing us away with every frame. No creative stone went unturned as she organized punchy flowers, vintage tableware and romantic draping which juxtaposed wonderfully against the rocky shore. The planning + floral designer used a mix of coral charm peonies, ranunculus and different varieties of garden roses & David Austin roses to a achieve this magic effect!
Nadia Hernandez provided the calligraphy for the day – you’ll find her perfection on the place cards, RSVPs, boutonnière assignments and all the scripty goodies in between.

From the stylist, Melanie of Splendid Events: Cyprus is a sun-soaked land steeped in myth and compelling landscapes of hidden valleys, vineyards and stretches of sandy beaches. When The Secret Owl Workshop sought after a new destination to host our summer edit of fine art wedding photography, the multilayered beauty, the legacy and lush Mediterranean backdrops of the island were an instant magnet.
The Secret Owl Workshop teaming up with Splendid Events, and talking about our joined visions had us all heart-eyed. Her endless dedication in bringing together a sea of brands and creatives and breathing life into a unique concept where florals, a gorgeous gown & bridal shoes, dreamy hand-drawn suites and a truly magical location weaved a stunning wedding fairytale and are only some of the wonders we got to experience.
Ensconced in Columbia Beach Resort on Pissouri Bay, swaddled by rolling hills studded with cypresses, bougainvilleas, Jacaranda and palm gardens the day began with an elegant butterfly inspired boudoir session and progressed through the entire stretch towards the beach, where a billowing drape gazebo with crystal chandeliers and Paige round-back dinner chairs, a ceremonial lane and an astonishing real food station laden with lavish bites, were set for the couple’s celebration.
The groom’s suit + shoes from Carlitos Mens Boutique is a dashing combo indeed. All our hearts are a-flutter.
And this food display from Pandora Catering is doing the absolute most with its opulent arrangement of fruits, sweets and cocktail-size crustaceans!
Colorful linens and chic tableware were topped with mini tiered cakes and a sea of blooms based on coral sunset peonies. It was really all about a quintessential summer feel, one we’re not ready to leave any time soon! We couldn’t be more grateful for the stellar teams of vendors who made this possible and prove that Cyprus as a destination should definitely be on your summer wedding radar!
Our ultimate goal was to showcase our island and picture how beautiful as a wedding destination can be and create a setting that will feature its full potential. For this design, I wanted to create something luxurious and elegant by the beach but at the same time extremely summery & colourful with citrus fruits that reminds you of the hot summery days we experience a lot on the island. I wanted to define that a wedding by the beach can be colourful but at the same time very elegant. I challenged myself to stay away from pastel soft palettes and was more interested in seeking inspiration from the area that the shoot was taking place. The grey pebbles on the beach and the rocky surroundings matched perfectly the greenish tablecloth but also they served as a contradiction to the strong coral – pink flowers. I tried to bring together a very big team of creatives to propose a complete look from floral & décor to food styling.
From the paper goods designer, Letterpressed: My inspiration was texture in neutral colours due to the location which is known for its rough and beautiful landscapes. For this reason, I chose handmade cotton textured papers to tie in with the surroundings, while keeping the whole print in monochromatic thin black lines to keep a minimal look which tied in elegantly with the vibrant rich flowers and decor.

The chandeliers used were restored from a retired al-fresco restaurant from a nearby village, and the candlesticks used were found in an antique shop that we restored with care some years ago.
