Today’s shoot is one of those that just stops us immediately in our tracks. The delicate blush pink and neutral palette paired with the organic floral design and the beautiful images from Tamara Gruner Photography all add up to pure magic that we couldn’t possibly resist! And the bride’s bouquet with a hint of artichoke styled by Bare Root Flora? Utter brilliance.
From the stylist and florist, Robyn of Bare Root Flora: The inspiration for our shoot was a desire for a sense of feminine romance. We chose a sophisticated, elegant color palette of blushes, greys and golds that married beautifully with the pines and dramatic desert rocks of Castlewood Canyon, where we set our scene. A stormy, grey day was the perfect complement to the look.
We kept the look on our beautiful bride simple and natural, with loose, flowy hair and soft makeup. Her two-piece gown from Emma & Grace was dreamy and romantic while still feeling fresh and contemporary. We wanted the flowers to capture the same romantic, organic feeling. Bare Root Flora paired textural dried artichokes with soft garden roses, chocolate Queen Anne’s lace, sweet astrantia, soft silver tree protea and lush foliage and grasses in a loose and lovely bouquet finished in blush silk ribbons from Silk & Willow.
We wanted the accompanying tablescape to be an extension of this dreamy, romantic aesthetic. The table was set with gorgeous silk runners from Silk & Willow, which echoed the wind and the colors in the canyon. The napkin detail was a particularly lovely focal point for the table, which was set with romantic tableware from Anthropologie. The hand lettered place cards from Miya at Layers of Loveliness were the perfect finishing touch. The finished look was just what we wanted, dreamy and romantic but with an almost effortless sense of sophistication.
