Bold blue and copper are two colors that just pair perfectly together, don’t you agree? Today’s team of vendors (including Olivia Richards Photography, Spreading Lovely, and Jaclyn K. Nesbitt Designs, to name a few) certainly thought so, as they used this coupling for the basis of their styled photo shoot. Add in a pop of yellow floral design, and we’re ready to go!
From the photographer, Olivia Richards: Morgan, from Spreading Lovely, and I have been dreaming up a copper inspired styled shoot for months, and we were so happy when it finally all came together! We wanted to create an inspiration shoot that could inspire weddings transitioning from summer into fall, and we knew navy blue and copper would be the perfect combination! Morgan built the copper ceremony alter with copper piping and copper wire, and added in the geometric hanging lanterns (from Urban Outfitters) to tie the whole look together. We also brought the copper details into the tablescape, with lots of candle holders and metal cups (from H&M), and even in the unique take on place cards, where Mandy (from Myrtle & Lloyd) painted calligraphy on pieces of copper piping.
A local bakery, who specializes in vegan and gluten-free cakes and pastries, baked up a gorgeous (and yummy!) wedding cake accented with copper painted brushstrokes, blueberries, and thistle flowers on top. All of these amazing pieces of shoot came together at The Ranch at Little Hills wedding venue in San Ramon, CA, which is the perfect setting for a late summer/early fall wedding! We loved the natural setting of the venue with the coppery colored leaves covering the ground, and think our shoot brings a lot of uniqueness by highlighting lush greenery as an equally beautiful alternative to expensive florals. We also love how our shoot focuses on copper as the main color, rather than just as the accent.
