Modern Romantic Wedding Ideas
There needs to be a tradition for anniversary sessions – do I even need to highlight how sweet it would be to have a collection of these over the years? And maybe with kiddos? Let’s kickstart it this year so we can share more them with you all. This one from Jody Atkinson Photography is a chic first wedding anniversary with florals and style to make us dream of a whole wedding inspired by it.
From photographer Jody Atkinson: I had the pleasure of capturing this beautiful anniversary session as an attendee of Amanda K Photography‘s on-on-one workshop “Capturing the Art of Love” that Rebekah of A & B Creative Styled. The shoot was set in Berkeley California at the Berkeley city club and a few other little spots around the city.
I love photographing anniversary sessions. It is so much fun hearing how couples met and fell in love and such an honor to get to document their continuing story! I asked Hanna if she could tell me a little bit about how her her and Darrin met and fell in love and this is what she had to say: “So Darrin and I met at a gym 🙂 He was the head trainer, and I was a member! He helped me train for my first half marathon, and we had a bunch of initial “sweet dates”. Like go for a trial run together, workout, etc! We instantly connected through our love for health and fitness. He knew he wanted to marry me and planned a secret engagement/proposal in Kauai Hawaii. A month after the engagement we decided to open a gym together called Organic Fitness, similar to CrossFit style classes. We got married in Dayton, Oregon and went back to Kauai for our honeymoon. A month after we got married we started our second business together, Organic Kitchen, a healthy prep meal and catering service. We are happily married and already a year and a half into our marriage! We also have a little shiba inu puppy together.”
Great post! thank you for sharing!
