Cheery & Contemporary Micro Wedding in Jersey City’s Hudson Hall
Set in a European inspired beer hall, this vibrant and playful wedding inspo is the perfect inspiration for couples thinking of a colorful fall wedding. Inspired by the groom’s pink suit, Greater Good Events beautifully designed cheery pops of color to contrast the darker interior of Hudson Hall for a stunning micro wedding vibe. This created the perfect causal atmosphere for the family & friend focused couple that just wants to kick back and sip delicious cocktails on their wedding day. This lighthearted styled shoot captured by Kylee Yee is the perfect blend of light and dark, timeless and contemporary.
From the photographer: The Venue, Hudson Hall, is a fun, warm and casual bbq restaurant in the heart of vibrant Jersey City. Our goal was to create a beautiful and timeless atmosphere by adding fun, light elements to contrast the deep darkness of the space. The colors and textures are reminiscent of warm, glowy fall days – pinks, oranges and greens. We brought in grasses for texture and greens for the liveliness they added to the atmosphere.
The initial inspiration for this shoot came solely from pink groom’s suit. We couldn’t get that vision out of our heads and planned the entire shoot around that one article of clothing! It was a priority to add a bit of the grooms personality to the entire shoot (as he’s often overlooked), and felt the pink would give him an opportunity to shine just as much as the bride!
Our vendors are predominantly Jersey City-based, as part of our emphasis is to work within the local community. We believe that we can plan big, while still being conscious of resources.
We love how warm and inviting this micro wedding at Hudson Hall felt! The contrasting vibrant florals against the darker colors of the venue were simply perfection.
