Lovers of historical locations in warm climates will love the visuals involved in this gorgeous wedding. Designed and planned by Belle Events using amazing florals provided by Bramble & Bee and captured by Dana Fernandez Photography, this delightful wedding is sure to inspire anyone who wants to create a day to remember.
From the photographers, Dana and Josh of Dana Fernandez Photography: The inspiration behind this shoot was from a single image taken in Mexico, which was of a dusty blue door, cobbled street, and an overgrowth of bougainvillea naturally creating an arch over the entrance. Naturally, we incorporated bougainvillea as a main floral element while adding in touches of blue and natural stone to bring it all together. The blue was was highlighted beautifully by Nib and Pixel’s hand drawn invitation suite and escort cards to the stencil design on the cake.
Our main architectural element was the chapel at The Clubs at Houston Oaks. The chapel is from the 15th century, which was acquired and flown over from France and then pieced back together stone by stone. Since the chapel by itself, (both inside and out) is absolutely breathtaking, we only added touches of bougainvillea to bring in a small element of the design of the shoot. Everything from the florals to the gown were brought together perfectly and truly made our ideas come to life. We loved it so much that if we renew our vows, we would want it to look just like this!
