A Magical Christmas Wedding at St. Mark’s Cathedral

There’s a special kind of magic to a December wedding, and The Marlers embraced every bit of it in the most joyful way. Magical Christmas Wedding Touches

Junior-high sweethearts turned husband and wife, The Marlers chose December 21st for their wedding day, fully leaning into the charm and spirit of the holiday season. Their ceremony at St. Mark’s Cathedral was framed by lush Christmas trees that transformed the sanctuary into a festive winter retreat.

Afterward, guests made their way to the reception at East Ridge Country Club, where they were greeted with beautifully wrapped gifts filled with the couple’s favorite things — a sweet, personal touch made even more delightful with a glass of classic holiday eggnog. The celebration continued with playful and meaningful details: miniature Christmas tree centerpieces crafted by Colony House of Flowers, a custom s’mores bar, and holiday-themed dance-floor props that kept spirits high as the evening unfolded.

A surprise appearance from Santa (yes — Santa of Shreveport himself) brought even more joy as he passed out bride-and-groom gingerbread cookies created by Twin Burgers & Sweets. And in a fairytale finale, softly falling “snow” surrounded the couple as they made their grand exit — with Santa driving them away into the winter night.
