Last year, I shared a few inspiration boards for gender neutral nurseries, and today I finally get to share a proper nursery reveal! I rarely share personal posts, but I hope this might spark a bit of encouragement for anyone looking for gender neutral nursery ideas that aren’t, well, neutral.
Keeping the gender a surprise was a decision we don’t regret a bit, but finding gender neutral items to design a colorful nursery was more challenging that what I had expected.
I started with this bright and airy board I made, and picked colors that brought in a breezy summery mood with white, royal blue, aqua, chartreuse, yellow and metallics. After Luna was born, we then added a few girly items to personalize her space, like the swan clock and pink garland.
We didn’t use a crib skirt, but I added a pop of color on the edge of the crib mattress base using yellow electrical tape. If I ever change my mind, it’s quick to remove without any mess. It’s also 3 bucks at Home Depot ;)
