Light and Airy Wedding Dresses from Lea-Ann Belter
There are few things we love more in this world than light and airy wedding dresses made of fine silks and laces. And you’ve got to admit, twirl power makes a serious difference, too! So when we had a chance to collaborate on a shoot to showcase the newest collection from Lea-Ann Belter, we knew we wanted a concept that matched that modern, feminine and airy aesthetic of their gowns. Lately, this Toronto-based designer has been taking inspiration from European hotspots like the South of France and the famous London flower markets, and she’s been getting mega creative with silhouettes, textiles and embroidered details modern brides are flocking to.
We joined forces with Redfield Photography and Victoria Roggio to showcase a few of these beauts in all their glory, with dreamy backdrops from Devon and Pinkett that mimic the effortless beauty of Mother Earth. We’re simply taken with the way they transformed the industrial whitewashed brick space at Crane Arts! Specifically, Jacaranda, Pippa/Kate and Simone are showcased here. And while each dot the spectrum of the board for wedding styles, they’re all characteristically Lea-Ann Belter – begetting natural radiance while shining just the right amount so as not to overtake the wearer.
The Pippa top + Kate Skirt are one of our favorite dynamic duos in the LABB portfolio to date. We’re getting modern Grace Kelly vibes with the combination of a high-neck lace bodice and full silk crepe skirt. Sophisticated and demure, we are all wrapped up in this elegant number with a flirty open-back.
Timeless and sexy, Simone is undeniably femme with Alençon lace appliqués and Chantilly lace across a sheer V-neck and fluted skirt that pools into a train. We are here for this kind of dimension!
Printed silk is one of our favorite up + coming wedding dress trends for 2019, so when we first laid eyes on Jacaranda, it took a while for us to snap back to reality. Ball gown style without being predictable, we love the way this style falls effortlessly with subtle texture and airy depth. Who says you can’t add a fun bridal jacket with this look too?
So if you’re a savvy bride that wants to be comfy while looking F-I-N-E on your big day, you’ll want to check these handmade dresses out in person. It won’t take you long to become smitten with them too! Lea-Ann Belter pieces (plus their sister line Astrid & Mercedes) are dotted all across the US and Canada, so check this page out to see which location is closest to you. And tell us, which is your fave?
