Intimate Mediterranean Inspired Elopement
The designer of today’s styled shoot Bodas Deluxe describes their inspiration as an authentic, “slow wedding with a Mediterranean vibe” — and we have to admit that sounds pretty irresistible to us. Then we saw the images from Mireia Cordomí, and we were speechless. Beautiful intimate moments, thoughtful details, and a greenery installation with flowers by Oh Fleurs! make this a true winner for us.
From the shoot designer, Bodas Deluxe: I was born in the Mediterranean, surrounded by calm, green landscape and a beautiful blue sky. If I close my eyes I can feel the wind blowing through its leafy woods and people laughing in their picturesque stone streets. That’s why we wanted to recreate an elopement inspired by the Mediterranean lifestyle. An intimate wedding just for the couple and their witnesses. A real slow wedding with a Mediterranean vibe.
Our bride wakes up in a canopy bed and starts slowly getting ready for her wedding. Downstairs, in the courtyard of the house, a groom completely in love waits impatiently for her future wife to arrive. Everything around them is natural, organic, without ornaments. A hypnotizing beautiful rustic house, a homemade desserts table, handwritten stationery in cotton paper and a table with an a elegant and rustic feeling underneath a waterfall of leafy plants and soft flowers. Pantone and its spring 2017 color proposal gave us the source for inspiration. We chose Pale Dogwood, a romantic soft pale pink, Hazelnut a natural and neutral hazel and the exuberant green Kale which perfectly combined with the vitality of the Greenery. Mireia Cordomí’s lenses have captured this love story, in a natural, soft and beautiful way that only she knows.
