Moody, Romantic Nuptials At An Industrial Wedding Venue

It’s not everyday you see an industrial wedding venue that isn’t a converted loft, garage, warehouse or the like. And today’s real wedding at Downtown Phoenix hotspot, The Icehouse, is certainly not your average wedding. McKenna and Nick enlisted the help of Moonchild Event Co. to put a modern romantic twist on their moody wedding vision of an open air ceremony with a black and burgundy color palette. The abandoned church vibes of this downtown Phoenix space couldn’t have been more perfect, and they said “I Do” surrounded by such eye-catching details as a geometric backdrop and iron chandelier. Meg Brooke Photography didn’t miss a beat capturing their day, and we felt transported into the frame ourselves for moments like the First Look and sparkler exit. The ceremony space showcases the building’s original bones with an open ceiling – a perfect combination of industrial and bringing the outdoors in. The day of their wedding the weather threatened of a downpour of rain and we were all ready with massive umbrellas. But with luck it cleared up just as the getting ready events began! Mckenna, the bride, wanted her wedding to showcase the industrial/modern look that the Icehouse offered but put a dark and romantic spin on it.
