Hummingbird Nest Ranch Wedding

Like the bride said, her wedding had the flower wall of her dreams. Once you see it, you’ll understand why it’s ours too! Matt and Danielle’s California wedding was a dream and thanks to Katie Shuler Photography, we’re able to share all of the bright colors, elegant wedding details from LB Event Planning, and the must-see flower wall and other fantastic florals by Events by Sammy.

From the bride, Danielle: I have always envisioned having a tent reception! The feel is so classic and elegant but also very warm and intimate because of the added nature/garden feel — we both loved that. Matt and I wanted a formal wedding, but one that would be reflective of us as a couple, by remaining personal, and fun! We wanted our wedding to also be elegant, classic, warm, personal, timeless, and garden chic. We were able to achieve that exact vision with the help of my mom, sister and LB Events.

Flower recipe: Bridal bouquet was peonies, maids bouquets and table arrangements were garden roses (my favorite) and Events by Sammy created the flower wall of my dreams!!!

Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? Stay true to yourselves! If your day reflects you as a couple, it will be a memorable day for everybody, no matter what. For us, the best touches were the personal ones. We had Matt’s best childhood friend marry us, we wrote our own vows, and I surprised Matt with a visit from our labradoodle during bridal portraits. Unbeknownst to us at the time, our favorite intimate moments were also recognized, and acknowledged, by our family and friends as being the most special. Hire a photographer that you gel with! Matt and I instantly clicked with Katie. Her relational skills, I think, is one of her gifts as a photographer, aside from her insanely talented eye. By the end of the experience we felt like the best of friends — comfortable and ourselves in front of her lens. We absolutely cherish our wedding photos and I know our relationship with our photographer was a big factor.
