Grecian Art Wedding Inspiration Fused with Pink
We’re continuing our virtual Greek vacay with this stylish photo session from Sandy and Odysseas Photography, hopping over from Crete to Santorini. Santorini is known for its classic white and blue buildings, plus eye-catching mountains and beautiful water as far as the eye can see, so this team of Boheme Workshops, Celsia Floral, and Stella and Moscha had a tall order to make it somehow even more beautiful, but they certainly managed it! Let’s take a look, shall we?
From the photographer, Sandy and Odysseas Photography: This lovely session is inspired by the Hellenistic Period in Greek art from 323 – 31 BC and it took place in Santorini. The idea of the inspiration shoot was less about perfection and more about being expressive in emotion and atmosphere. Santorini was the perfect background, because building plans conformed to the natural setting they are in, rather than manipulating space.
A sense of action and movement in art was valued too, and texture and pattern were still important. All these elements can been seen in the bridal gown, rich in pattern and texture. In terms of the tablescape, note the way the napkins were casually laid on the plates like they were being used, the expressive and flowing style of calligraphy, the vines growing out of the centerpiece and along the table.
Lovely setting!
