Romantic Southern Elopement Inspiration
When I saw this beautiful shoot by Lindsay Herbst Photography, I immediately fell in love. I adore how Design Studio South made it so intimate with a sweetheart table just nestled in the Savannah woods, a sumptuous cobalt blue linen draped casually, and the peachiest of dahlias and ranunculus by Colonial House of Flowers: just perfect for Georgia.
From the photographer, Lindsay Herbst Photography: I, as well as other film photographers from all over the country, came together for a 3 day styled shoot out/self taught workshop called Better Together. We had all met this past October attending another workshop in Georgia, and realized that we had learned just as much from each other, than we did from the workshop! During the workshop, and after, We all clicked so much, and really embraced the whole idea of Community Over Competition, We were constantly sharing tips on each others work, embracing our new found love of shooting film, encouraging each other, and growing from each other. A lot of us felt frustrated that there was a lack of inspiration in our areas, so we decided to collaborate on a styled shootout where we learned from each other, shared our struggles and our creative ideas.
We all flew to Savannah, Georgia and worked with a planner in town, as well as used vendors from all over the nation, each one of us bringing something that contributed to one of our three shoots while we were there, and created Letters to my Love. We shot at Wormsloe in Savannah, which might be one of the most magical places I have ever been too. It is so beautiful, and you feel like you are stepping into something straight out of a movie. We wanted this shoot to feel soft, romantic, relaxed, and southern. I feel so blessed to have been able to be a part of it, and so thankful that we had an amazing team of vendors as well who were eager to help!
