Today’s fine art tableau inspires a sense of Old World Romance. CK Event Design styled this Autumn soiree with a desire to infuse deep colors like navy, burgundy and plum in the design, steering away from the more traditional orange. We’re loving the natural hops chandelier, taper candles amidst gauzy linen and French bistro chairs that decorate the table’s edge. Christa-Taylor made sure nothing went amiss, and her photos of the chocolate cake dripping with gold leaf figs + wine sauce are pretty frameable.
From the photographer, Christa-Taylor: When we started to envision an autumn wedding we wanted to highlight the luscious color tones of fall with the exclusion of orange. It was a unique challenge but the striking combination of burgundy, plum and navy definitely brought our vision to life. We loved how the palette gave brides autumnal inspiration without going overboard on warm tones.
I really wanted a unique hanging floral element over the table and Flowery Farmgirl created something truly from the Northwest with the arrangement of hops. Another statement piece was the jaw-dropping cake from Lux Sucre, with gold-leafed figs and dripping wine sauce it brought that richness and sophistication we were going for. The diy embroidery hoops added texture to the place settings and provided a unique take on escort cards.
As the tableau came together it was so beautiful to see each vendors skill and unique interpretation of this fall palette. We hope this real-life love story inspires brides with new ideas and concepts for this season.
