From the bride and groom: As wedding photographers ourselves, we are drawn to naturally beautiful environments that don’t necessarily need to be dressed up. Although we were not considering a destination wedding when we first began looking at venues, we stumbled upon a reception photo taken at Acre‘s stunning mosaic tiled mango orchard. Scott asked me “what if we got married here?” and that’s pretty much all it took! We contacted Jessica Blachut from Acre and booked our tickets to Mexico shortly after. We paid the deposit before even going there! It sounds a bit crazy but somehow we just knew it was the right place for us. The moment we set foot on Acre‘s grounds, it was settled. We were definitely getting married in Mexico.

We wanted our wedding to reflect our style and personality. Most of our wardrobe is 90% black and we have a minimalist preference. We wanted simple and clean lines and where ever we could sprinkle in our favorite color tastefully, we did it: black chairs, black chargers and wine glasses. We wanted our decor to feel simple but elegant, with a dark tropical tone. This was honestly the best day of our lives and we were so fortunate to work with so many talented people who made it all possible.
