Sarah Der Photography sent over the cutest intimate wedding, so I will let her take the stage to tell us about this super sweet wedding… From Sarah: Ben and Kat celebrated their marriage on a berry farm in a rural part of Virginia, just outside the city of Richmond. The two met at the University of Richmond, and had many of their college friends helping to prepare for the day–assembling bouquets, hanging lights and decorations, and coordinating the day-of events. The entire affair felt so laid back, as Ben and Kat are a relaxed, fun, and easy-going couple. Kat made the banners, table runners, signs, invitations, bouquets, chalkboard programs, and even filled up the little glass vials with tea for guests to take as favors! Super crafty!
The two had volleyball, soccer, corn toss, and bubbles for the reception, and treated guests to DELICIOUS vegan and vegetarian dinner options (Mom’s Potato Salad and Vegan “Chicken” Nuggets, to name a few) from a popular local market in Richmond called Ellwood Thompson’s. Guests got to decorate their own cupcakes, then watched as the couple surprised everyone with a steamy salsa dance! To top the night off, a friend of the couple DJ’ed some groovy tunes and everyone danced, A LOT. It was such, such a fun day. and this couple is ridiculously cool.
